Group X’s postdoctoral researcher Fernando Nieto is the new innovation agent for Aalto ARTS in 2017. He will represent the Department of Architecture in the Innovation Scout project, a Tekes KINO project owned by Tuija Pulkkinen from Research and Innovation Services and Aalto University’s Vice President of Research and Innovation.

Innovation agents belong to different schools at Aalto University (Aalto SCI, ENG, ELEC, CHEM, ARTS). Their main tasks are to get their Department’s researchers involved in innovation activities, encourage them to identify inventions and their utilization possibilities, and detect research results with commercialization potential.

Collaboration between innovation agents from Aalto University and the University of Helsinki is expected for this year, since the project has been implemented as well by the latter university.
